Pulp magazine collecting is a niche where condition criteria differ fundamentally from comic books — the wood-pulp paper ages in ways that paper-grading systems don't capture, and most buyers don't know what brittleness actually means for a book's long-term survival and resale value.

A Weird Tales from 1927 in Very Good condition is a meaningful survival. The same issue with severe spine roll and brittle pages that crack on flex is functionally a display copy that deteriorates further with handling. This page helps you tell the difference before you buy.
