SNES game cartridgesSNES library is the most-collected 16-bit era. Lots of loose cartridges are the price-efficient entry vs complete-in-box.
Game Boy Advance SPThe AGS-101 model has a backlit screen — genuine improvement over the earlier front-lit version. Worth the small price premium.
Sega Genesis (Model 2)Model 2 has slightly better audio output than Model 1. Composite cable included with most. Composite → CRT is the authentic pairing.
CRT television (composite)Consumer CRTs (13–20 inch Trinitron or similar) are the correct display for pre-2000 consoles. Scanlines and sub-pixel timing are built in.
Original NES/SNES controllersAuthentic controllers are still the most reliable. Third-party D-pads feel wrong. Check the cord for fraying near the connector.
